Grandparents Day

Although we acknowledge their importance every day, National Grandparents Day is the perfect opportunity to really show how much they mean to you. Celebrated on the Sunday after Labor Day, the weekend is the perfect time to do something special.
Make Them Dinner
Cook up their favorite meal at home so your grandparents can spend time with the family. Maybe it’s a family-favorite recipe or you want to try something new you know they’ll love. Have the kids help cook and serve the grandparents. Not only does the whole family get to spend time together, but it gives them a different scenery for the day.
Write Them a Letter
Have the whole family write down a heart-felt letter or letters to the grandparents and give them the letter on Grandparents Day. Write down your favorite memories with them and how much they mean to you. Any words of love will make their day so much better. It’ll be even better as a homemade card and have the kids draw some cute pictures in it.
Start a New Tradition or Continue One
Whether it’s been passed down in the family or you want to start something new, any time with your grandparents will be special to them. Traditions can include cooking a favorite meal each month, going to a restaurant, baking cookies, or celebrating Christmas with the family. There are many things to do with your grandparents, but creating and continuing on traditions will continue on with the rest of the family.
